David and Beth Hamstra

David and Beth met in Texas. After six years of friendship (with on and off crushing), five months of dating and six months of engagement, they were married in 2006. David has his B.A. from Indiana University Northwest and has studied at The Bible College of Wales. Beth graduated from American University (Washington, DC) and has an M.B.A. from DePaul University (Chicago, IL). The couple has traveled extensively (both before they were married and since) and has a heart to see people reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ locally and around the world.

What they do

David is an Associate Pastor at CrossPoint Church allotting 50% of his time to Echo and Echo PC. He has a passion for teaching, building relationships and sharing the gospel. Beth works for a consulting firm in Chicago and loves supporting her husband in ministry.

David and Beth are expecting their first little one in April, 2010.

Beth

Grew up in Sterling, IL. Used to think she was Mexican. At one time thought she would marry the king of Morocco (until she met David of course…and learned she might have to convert to Islam). Is a pretty good whistler. Speaks some Spanish. Has traveled to over 25 countries.

David

Some call him DD (or Deeds). Grew up in Highland, IN (and still claims it is the center of the universe). Was the captain of his basketball team at IUN. Loves the White Sox. Competed in the Chicago Triathlon in 2009. Eats Pizza at least once a week. Plays a mean cow bell.
